FreshStart Voice Programs

You hear the singing in the room, in front of the tv, and in the car. They constantly sing songs they recognize from their favorite movies and artists because they just have to, "Alexa, play (song they've been singing non-stop for the last month)!"

You have a son or daughter who've been doing the above for awhile now and they might have even taken their interest in singing a step further by trying out for the school play. And that's awesome!

Wherever your child is in exploring music, our voice groups and voice program provide a vibrant place with other like-minded, singing-everywhere children to encourage their interest in singing a wide variety of styles while learning healthy singing habits.

Vocal Technique

Vocal technique is the core of proper sound production! It’s important because we want to encourage our young singers to take care of their bodies and their voices so that they can sing and enjoy a beautiful voice for a LIFETIME.

You never know when you might want to break out a Disney song to your future grandchildren at 65-years-old!

​Just in case, that mood comes up, I want to make sure all of our choir members are ready to give in to the mood to sing no matter where they are in their life :)

Aural Skills

Aural skills is the super skill of our ears and how we train them!

This includes singing in pitch, matching pitch, singing on a different pitch from someone else and ending up in beautiful harmony - an experience best described like a bite of dark chocolate (real dark...like 95% cocoa dark).

Listening is an important skill! In choir and in voice lessons, young singers learn about focused and active listening whether for the correct notes, rhythms or just simple directions from the choir teacher.

Ensemble Music Making

Making music with others who enjoy music just as much is an experience like none other! A music making dream team.  

Students get to work with others and pay close attention to what they are doing while learning to be responsible for what you are doing.

Don’t get me wrong, solos are great! And there are lots of opportunities for solos in our Noteworthy Voices ensemble. But what makes a choir good, is how well each singer work together as a team towards one common goal- creating beautiful music! ​
