The beginning...

I started learning music at a young age, starting out in my elementary school orchestra playing viola and taking private piano lessons.

As my skill as a musician developed I quickly learned that my true passion was for singing, and I enrolled in the Orange County School for the Arts’ classical voice conservatory, eventually completing my Bachelors and Masters in Opera Performance. 

I supplemented my education by immersing myself in teaching, starting out by teaching children’s choirs and private voice and piano lessons, as well as music directing and leading church choirs in California and eventually Chicago.

Music has always been a central part of my life and being able to impart the gift of music on to others, both young and old, has been just as rewarding for me as performing on stage.

Outside Music

Apart from music, I am an avid reader, and when I’m not in rehearsal you’re likely to find me buried in a book.

My favorites include East of Eden by John Steinbeck and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which I reread every year.

I also love to cook, and had I not pursued music I would have loved to become a professional chef.

​I find that cooking, just like music, is best when shared with others.
