The beginnings…

I began my musical journey on the piano at 5 years old, which I thought was extremely beneficial for my overall growth as a musician.

However, a year later, my parents took me to hear a symphony orchestra for the first time, and I absolutely fell in love, which resulted in me picking up the violin at age 8, and then the viola at age 11.

​In high school, I taught many private violin/viola students who succeeded in solo competitions. During that time, I also formed and coached a string quartet of talented junior high students where we rehearsed once a week. They also played together weekly after I graduated too!

​Fast forward —> I graduated from Azusa Pacific University last year with a Bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance, where my passion for music strengthened and I felt the most in awe of how music could leave a long-lasting impact on the world around me.

Why I Do What I Do

I strongly feel that playing music provides an avenue towards accomplishment and personal success, as well as friendships that can last a lifetime.

I have learned so many life lessons throughout my education and career as a musician. However, I believe I learned the most life lessons from my music teachers, who always wanted to see their students succeed and thrive.

Because of the lasting impact my teachers had on me, I feel passionate about passing down their knowledge to my own students and assuring them that whatever they want to do is possible!

My goal as a teacher is to provide an environment where we can both be focused on learning and have fun while doing so.

I want to guarantee that my students feel welcome, while I make sure they improve weekly and aim to achieve their own goals.

• Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance - Azusa Pacific University - Magna Cum Laude
• 2 Years as Principal Violist of APU Symphony Orchestra
• 3 Years as Principal Violist of APU Studio Orchestra
• Founder/Chamber Music Coach - Arrowhead Arts Spring Quartet

Outside Music

When I’m not teaching or performing, I love exploring new cities, going to cute coffee/boba shops, going on flights, playing with my dog, Millie, and eating food.

I also really like going to amusement parks like Disneyland and Six Flags and riding the roller coasters.

My favorite food (right now) is any type of pasta, and my favorite ice cream flavor is moose tracks!

​If I could name my happy place, it would be brunch on the beach with my friends.
