Ms. Rong
I grew up playing the piano as a hobby just like many kids do.
Fortunately I had a wonderful teacher who was always encouraging and patient, and I have had the opportunities to perform, earn certifications and win competitions, which are valuable experiences to my life, and eventually led me to pursue a career in music. I believe that learning music is fun and meaningful.
I've taught students ranging from age 4-12. I enjoy every lesson working with my students. I remember every time when the students learned something from my instructions and applied it to their playing, seeing how beautifully they could play, the joy shining through their eyes and how rewarding it was to me.
I realized how powerful we are and how much responsibility we have being a teacher. I also enjoy building a connection with my students as not only a piano teacher, but also a life mentor and a friend.

Why I Do What I Do
Music has enriched my life and helped me in every way possible. There is so much to it!
We grow our imagination in it, we learn to collect ideas and organize our thoughts, we are given the chance to say things that could not be expressed through words, and are given the opportunities to deliver this precious art to bond with others.
I believe that everyone is passionate about art, one way or another, and music just happens to be one of my biggest passions. It is an important platform for me to create a more colorful world, to share my emotions, and to heal pains and struggles.

Outside Music
Besides piano, I also am passionate about writing. I have a few articles published and here's one of the recent ones: https://tyenews.com/2024/04/571801/. (It's in Chinese!)
Additionally, I also love reading (mostly literature and fiction, and some prose. Recently I’m reading Ghost Town by Kevin Chen). I also love watching movies, hiking, learning languages (aside from English and my native language Mandarin and Taiwanese, I’ve also learned some French, German, Korean, and Japanese), and last but not least, traveling! |
