Music has been a huge part of my life since a very young age.
I grew up in a musical family, where I played the piano, my brother played the cello, my sister played the violin, and my mother played the organ. It was always my dad’s dream for his children to play a trio at church, which we have done countless times!
Music also served as a place of solace for me - whether it was during practice for piano lessons or listening to a soothing song - music’s creative and comforting ability held a special place in my heart since a young age.
After growing up playing in the church praise team and choir, school orchestras, and accompanying soloists, I attended the University of Austin in Texas, completing a minor in music and consequently attended Sam Houston State University, attaining a Master’s in Music Therapy with piano as my primary instrument.
Through my educational and professional journey, I realized the deep power of music and its effect it can have on people in all walks of life.

Why I TeachI believe that one of the most important times in a person’s life takes place during their childhood.
Through trust, encouragement, and understanding, a child can truly grow and develop into a healthy individual with necessary coping skills and self-esteem, which can carry over in all aspects of life as an adult. Therefore, I believe working with children is a privilege and joy, where I can help them become not only wonderful musicians, but resilient and bright human beings. Outside Music When I’m not teaching piano or providing music therapy, you can find me enjoying delicious food, playing with all the dogs, hiking throughout SoCal, or writing songs on the piano and guitar. Creative expression is my passion and I love to explore the many ways I can do that through music. |
