For as long as I can remember, there has been music in my life.

​My dad and grandma used to sing to me, and my mom would play the piano in our living room.

​My parents even tell stories of me singing before I could talk.

I began piano lessons at age five and continued through college. This strong music technique and theory background provided me with a unique skill set I carry into my singing and teaching work.

​From elementary school on, I was involved in musicals and choir, basically anything that could get me on stage.

​My love of performing led me to pursue vocal performance at the professional level and find my calling as a singer and music educator.

Why Teach?

As a singer, I believe I have a unique and powerful outlet to convey emotion and stories.

Music often makes us feel emotions we can’t even name, and I think live performance heightens that experience. Vocal music especially offers a glimpse into different worlds and people through lyrics and music.

Part of my purpose is to be a conduit for beauty and life change through live performance. 
    
I believe that both performance and education play a part in this expression.

Music education is essential as it helps create well-rounded people who can appreciate art, culture, and creativity.

It opens up the imagination and gives kids a creative outlet to express themselves. Good music education and good performance are intertwined as you can’t have one without the other.

Good music can be a life-changing experience, and I see my purpose as facilitating that change through performances and education. ​

• Masters of Fine Art in Vocal Performance - University of California Irvine (Currently enrolled)
  

I began teaching piano in 2014 and have taught students of all ages in group and private settings.

​My love of music education inspired me to earn my California Teaching Credential in 2021, where I worked in a high school music department. Through this experience, I learned how to help children thrive in their learning environment, despite any challenges they may face. ​

Outside Music

When I’m not performing or teaching, you can find me drinking way too much coffee, baking, knitting, and trying new restaurants around Irvine.
