Ms. Ellie Lu
Hi! My name is Ellie. I am a board-certified music therapist and violin/piano instructor.
I got my Bachelors in music performance from National Taiwan Normal University for both violin and piano. I also have a Masters in music therapy from Colorado State University. I studied under the concertmaster of Taiwan’s leading National Symphony Orchestra Ting-yu Wu for three years and tutored by Bulgarian violinist Vesselin Paraschkevov and Taiwanese violinist Shien-ta Su. The long practicing time and training process were hard but it also inspired me many perspectives about music. I found music such a powerful tool to support people physically and mentally. I coached students with a wide range of ages and levels including individuals with disabilities. Every student impressed me with different talents and ideas and inspired me to customize my teaching method to each student. I also encourage students to understand themselves musically with independent thinking and cultivate their ability to reach goals. I believe everyone has their own musicianship in different ways! |
Outside of PianoBesides music and teaching, I love traveling, making friends, food, and exercise!
I had finished three half-marathons and the training made me a stronger person! #runnershighisreal |
