The beginnings…

The cello is a beautiful and unique instrument that has captured the hearts of many music enthusiasts throughout history - for me, it happened when I was two.  

I attended a cello masterclass with my mom when I was just two years old and despite my young age, I was captivated by the instrument and sat through the entire three-hour class without crying or wanting to leave.

​I loved the warm sound of the cello that was delicate at the same time. 

This experience sparked a lifelong passion for the cello and set me on a path to become a skilled cellist and teacher.

Why I Do What I Do

As a teacher, I understands the challenges that come with performing in front of an audience.

I've had the opportunity to perform and compete in cities around the world (Taipei, New York, Beijing, Hong Kong, Osaka, Vienna, Frankfurt), and have come to appreciate the complexity and depth of music as a means of expressing one's unique thoughts, emotions, and life experiences.

​I also want to share my love for music and the cello with my students because I know how powerful music is in bringing beauty, creativity, and discipline to lives.

Outside Music

Beyond music, I find joy in other activities, such as playing tennis and watching baseball games since moving to LA.

I believe that these experiences and interests are integral to my music making, and they shape the way I approach and interpreting music.
