Growing up, I was always exposed to music thanks to my father.
His passion and love for music was the light that guided me to musically identifying myself.
I would always come into his music room and witnessed the gratitude he had whether he was recording, singing or playing various instruments. He took me to a music shop and had me try different instruments. I saw a guitar and started to appreciate the beautiful sound it created strumming the strings. I will always thank him for giving me to the freedom to discover what musically connected with me.
From there on I knew that music wasn’t just something to enjoy, it was an honest part of me.
Playing the guitar was not only fun but one of the brilliant ways to communicate with people and that’s why I believe everyone has it in them.
I strongly encourage my students to never doubt themselves because whatever genre, instrument or style it may be.. there will always be a musical connection between an individual and sound.
I have taught many ages and it brings nothing but joy when I not only see my students improve in their musical skills but witnessing their deep connection with music and how it impacts their lives.
I am a music graduate from UCI and I had the greatest privilege to study underJohn Schneiderman’s profession. With my knowledge and experience, my students will not only learn the guitar but will build a deeper musical connection within themselves for they can share the beauty of music with others.
