The Beginning

The first time I saw someone play the piano, I was enchanted by the beautiful melody. I was deeply attracted by the charm of the piano and had great passion for it since the beginning - I was 4 years old. 

That passion led me to study music for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees and continue to develop professionally in music. 

Being one of the top students in my undergraduate class, I was selected by the university to participate in a special program that allowed me to not only get my Piano Performance degree but also study teaching at the same time leading to a minor in Music Education from Tianjin Normal University in China.

After that experience, my passion for music led me to the US for my Master of Fine Arts in Music Scoring and Composition from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Professional Musician

As an accomplished music instructor and piano teacher with more than 8 years of experience instructing students in instrumentation and general music theory, Ms. Han has a thorough understanding of classical music and electronic music.

Her first students are now professional students at leading music universities in China.

As a pianist, she participated in multiple musical performances and has acquired much practical experience.

She acted as the art director of concerts many times and has always been the music director of the school choir.

As a composer, she has scored an impressive number of films, animations, and documentaries, like “1cm”, “Outsider”, “Insomnia”.

In the performance at UCLA, she was acting as an assistant composer to support the Opera Juana for orchestration, and her music Meditative was published in the magazine Music Lover in February 2019.

She believes all children are unique and bring something special to their own music world. She assists her students to express themselves with music and step firmly into the music and experiencing it firsthand.

Outside Music

Besides music and teaching, my other passion is photography. It adds so much value to my life because it trains my imagination and patience - it takes a lot of patience to wait long for a good and right capture!

Photography is something that develops over a period of time and with a good imagination and right kind of equipment, it is quite easy to capture wonderful and cherished moments of life and preserve it forever.
