Piano Lessons at FreshStart Piano Studio
“The arts aren’t just important because they improve math
scores, they are important because they speak to parts of
children’s being which are otherwise untouched.”
“A real education has to give equal weight to the arts,
humanities, to physical education."
Two of my favorite quotes from TED talk legend Sir Ken Robinson.
While all the intellectual benefits of piano lessons are a nice bonus, the real value of studying the piano are the life skills and lessons it teaches students. (I think these are why music majors have the highest acceptance rate into medical schools.)
The fact that music education creates well-rounded, confident children, helps them become whole human beings who are sensitive to the world around them and teaches them the ability to think critically; this is what motivates me as a piano teacher and my teaching philosophy is my guide in accomplishing that goal.
