The "average" child of today often learns at least one instrument and participates in sports or music ensembles, in addition to school and other extracurricular activities.

Now, imagine if your child could learn an extraordinary skill applicable in all aspects of life; that helps them become truly great at what they do. This skill allows them to complete learning tasks at a fraction of the time compared to their peers by working harder and smarter; it pushed musicians like Joshua Bell, Yundi Li, and Lang Lang, athletes like Jerry Rice, Jordan, and Phelps, comedian Chris Rock, Benjamin Franklin, and Warren Buffet, into the upper echelon of their fields.

Did they all take piano lessons? Most likely not. But the one common skill that propelled them to greatness can be learned and honed through piano lessons under the guidance of a strategic piano teacher with an intimate understanding of the workings of deliberate practice. 

Did talent play a role in Mozart and Tiger Wood's accomplishments? Not as much as people think. Their talent contribution pales in comparison to their thorough understanding and application of deliberate practice in large quantities from a young age. So, the sooner your child starts learning and practicing this way, the more likely they will be among the top of their field, class, ensemble, peers — the ones shooting ahead of the pack already by putting this highly specific method of practice to work.

My goal in lessons at my piano studio is to introduce the different parts of deliberate practice through various aspects of piano learning, to get your child accustomed to this way of learning, little by little, in their daily practice sessions. And in time, make it second nature to the way your child works so that they can apply the same principles to other parts of their life.
